Ficus benjamina growing as a small stand alone tree in the grounds of the Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan River, Sabah.
Ficus benjamina growing in the grounds of the Sukau Rainforest Lodge. The leaves are unusually narrow indicating that this might be an ornamental variety of Ficus benjamina although   wild F. benjamina  stranglers appear to be common growing in the forest along the nearby banks of the Kinabatagan river.
There was only one pair of fruit on the tree. These fig fruit are typical of unripe F.benjamina. Ripe F. benjamina figs ripen yellow
Ficus benjamina,  Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan. As mentioned above the leaves are unusually narrow for F. benjamina.
