Ficus sagittata, Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan, Sabah. F. sagittata is a root climber up tree trunks in the understorey of the forest. Normally the leaves are held pressed close to the the tree trunk.  However due to the extra light this F. sagittata had already started branching at ground level.

Ficus sagittata is named after the Latin for arrow to emphasise the “arrow shaped leaves”.
Ficus sagittata fruiting at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan River, East Sabah. These figs are unripe. Ripe figs are bright orange.
