Ficus variegata & macaques at Ulu Ulu, Temburong, Brunei

Ficus variegata on the opposite bank of the Temburong river from the Ulu Ulu Resort, Temburong, Brunei. A small family of Long-tailed Macaques were feeding on the ripening fruit. Then the female started grooming the male whilst a youngster looks on.

Then the female groomed the male again whilst the youngster ate a ripe  Ficus variegata fig just  below.  Note that the ripe figs are all green. These activities continued for most of the afternoon.
