Ficus subsidens is a rare fig endemic to Borneo with a range restricted to the stream banks of montane forest on Kinabalu and the Crocker Range. This fig was collected by Linus Gokusing at c.1,200 m from a forest stream next to the main Kota Kinabalu-Tambunan Road that crosses the Crocker Range in February 2013.
