A male Ficus lumutana fruiting next to the steps just below the Belalong Canopy Walkway, Temburong, Brunei on 14 December 2017. The same fig tree was photographed fruiting almost exactly a year earlier on 18 December 2016. We do not know if there were any additional fruiting episodes in between Dec. 2016 and Dec. 2017.

Ficus lumutana is one of only a few figs in Borneo in which the male figs split wide open at the base to allow the female fig wasps to leave the fig without damaging their wings.
