Ficus deltoidea: Tabin Wildlife Reserve, Sabah

This Ficus deltoidea subspecies deltoidea was growing on an introduced  Rain Tree Samea saman growing next to the Sabah Wildlife Department buildings at Tabin.

This well known Koompaisa excelsa  bean tree at the entrance to Tabin Wildlife Reserve in east Sabah has an epiphyte SKY GARDEN growing on the stump of a broken branch below the crown. If you look at this sky garden through binoculars you will see that  amongst the plants is a Ficus deltoidea . Tony Lamb and Honor Phillipps to show the scale.
