ABOVE: A view of the Belalong River from the Belalong Field Centre, Brunei. The Belalong Field Centre is approximately 100 m upstream from the kuala (junction) where  the Sungei Belalong joins the larger Sungei Temburong.

Note that Ficus sagittata is the most common root climbing fig at the Belalong Field Centre  and can be easily distinguished from Ficus pendens by the cordate (heart shaped) leaf base of Ficus sagittata.
