Flying Squirrel eats Katydid eating Ficus rosulata: Tawau Hills Park, Sabah

This Ficus rosulata fig tree grows next to a trail  close to Tawau Hills Park HQ. This fig tree fruits continuously and is a well known sight to tourists.

At night green katydid Leaf Hoppers come to eat the ripening figs. In turn this attracts a Temminck’s Flying Squirrel which comes to feed on the insects.
