Ficus subpisocarpa is a very common fig of the rocky coastal forests of Thailand north to Shanghai in China and South Honshu island in Japan.

Due to its attractive figs and foliage and tenacity, Ficus subpisocarpa is often planted or allowed to grow in urban landscapes in coastal cities.

The figs which ripen green-white -pink- spotted white are dispersed by small squirrels  and birds including the Pallas’ Squirrel shown below.
