Ficus pubilimba, Pulau Langkawi, Malay Peninsula

Ficus pubilimba fruiting on the summit of Gunung Raya (881m) on Pulau Langkawi, off the west coast of the  Malay Peninsula.

This  fig tree was  attended by a flock of  Hill Mynas  Gracula religiosa feeding on the ripe figs.

Note that F. pubilimba prefers a dry seasonal climate and has not yet been recorded for Borneo.

The summit of Gung Raya is easily accessed by road and has a viewpoint and hotel as well as a telecom tower. See photos below.
