Ficus kurzii,  fruiting in the Belum-Temenggor Forest Complex (BTFC)   located in Perak at the northern end of the Malay Peninsula on the Thai- Malaysia border.

Note: The natural range of Ficus kurzii is  Myanmar, South China, Vietnam, Thailand, Sumatra and Java.

Ficus kurzii does not  occur in Borneo.

There is an very fine fig   next to Swan Lake in the Singapore Botanic Gardens  labelled Ficus kurzii which may be  the result of hybridization with with Ficus benjamina.

In the Malay Peninsula F. kurzii is confined to the  more seasonal forest on the Thai-Malaysia border.

Photographs originate from research into the importance of  figs in the diet of  the local hornbills (10 species)  at BTFC.
