The photos show a female Ficus montana of the narrow leaf variety with ripe fruits.
Narrow leaf varieties of Ficus montana have been recorded from Kapit in Central Sarawak and Samarinda in East Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo but they are not common.
These varieties are rheophytic i.e. adapted to being regularly flooded by fast flowing streams.
All photos taken by Ripin Forestry at Kampung Tongan Baru, Melawi, near the Gunung Naning Protected Area in the hills of West Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo.
