Ficus eumorpha, Kiau Gap, Kinabalu 1,800m. These are male figs one of which has split open to release the pollinating wasps.  This is a typical habit of several male species of figs in SECTION ERIOSYCEA, including Ficus endospermifolia and Ficus lumutana. Photo by Anthea Phillipps.
