Both the small glossy leaves and the pink/white fig fruits of Ficus delosyce look superficially similar to Ficus microcarpa  a very common large “banyan” strangler of coastal districts in Borneo. However the figs are distinctively different because they have  a “peak” around the ostiole (hole) at the base of the fig. All photos are by Arlene Walshe.
