Kampung Dalas is on the western slopes of Kinabalu, and is now accessible by road. However when this Ficus pendens collection was made by the Clemens in 1932 it took at least a week to walk to Dalas from Jesselton (now Kota Kinabalu) up the Tuaran river valley.
