Ficus bruneiensis saplings growing next to a logging trail at Sg Sut in the Kapit district of Sarawak. Note the red stipule and the hollow stem and the copious white latex. A distinctive feature of this fig is that on young plants the petiole and the proximal portion of the mid-rib are red on the young leaves.
