Ficus beccarii photographed on 13 February 2020 by Elliot Gardner at Kapit in central Sarawak. Collection #EG871.
The long thin leaves with very long drip tips are very similar to a similar earth fig Ficus geocharis but the base of the leaf is symmetrical and rounded without the “auricle” present on Ficus geocharis.
The photos were taken as part of a project entitled Ethnobotany and ethnotaxonomy of Moraceae in Sarawak supported by the National Parks Board of Singapore.
