Ficus allutacea  is a little known rare fig with only a few records from Borneo. The tiny  figs are usually under 1.5 cm in diameter.

The closest relative is Ficus apiocarpa  which is a locally common liana in peat-swamp forest around the coast of Borneo. The figs of F. apiocarpa are normally twice   the size of F. allutacea.,
