Ficus lyrata grown as an ornamental at Pontianak in West Kalimantan.
Ficus lyrata is a small tree native to West Africa. However because of its large green figs and decorative “lyre” shaped leaves this fig is often used in landscaping projects in Borneo. The figs are always sterile as the pollinating fig wasp is not present in Borneo.
