Ficus sundaica: Orangutan feeding at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan, Sabah

The Kinabatangan floodplain forest is probably the richest habitat for figs in the whole of Borneo.

This is in terms of both density and the variety of species (diversity).

It is these figs which provide food for much of the wildlife you can see on a boat trip along the Kinabatangan.
