Immediately opposite the front entrance to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge at Danum Valley in Sabah is a giant Ficus lawesii fig tree. This small flock of Bornean Crested Fireback Pheasants Lophura ignita (2 cocks and 3 hens) were foraging for fallen figs when we visited on 25 Oct. 2011.
