Ficus dubia collected by the Sandakan Herbarium team at Deramakot  Forest Reserve in Sabah.

Ficus dubia is an uncommon strangling fig confined to virgin primary forest  in Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula (including S. Thailand) and N. Borneo.

Ficus dubia is unable to grow on its own and always requires the support of a host tree.

F. dubia is a very important hornbill fig tree. and is also eaten by many other animals.
