Ficus albipila is Borneo’s tallest fig tree and can grow to over 40m tall as a standalone tree.

F. albipila can be mistaken for Ficus variegata which also has a pale trunk and similar leaves and also for one of the two Koompasia species in Borneo. The Koompasia species are even larger and can grow up to 80m tall but they are bean trees (legumes) with distinctive feathery pinnate leaves.
