Ficus callophylla is  generally scarce but locally common throughout the lowland forests of Borneo. Both the leaves and the figs (illustrated below) are  quite distinctive.

The ripe figs are bright pink and the shape of a flattened globe with large basal bracts. The ostiole may be flat or capped with a bright red nipple.
