This giant Ficus crassiramea grows next to the main highway between Lahad Datu and Sandakan.
According to observations by John Payne of the Sabah Ficus Germplasm Centre when this totally isolated fig tree fruits it attracts Rhinoceros Hornbills from the nearest forest at Bukit Piton approximately 10 km distance.
