Ficus forstenii leaves collected from the ground underneath the large strangler that grows directly opposite to the front entrance of the Borneo Rainforest Lodge at Danum Valley, Sabah. The F. forstenii herbarium collection below was made on the summit of coffin hill near the BRL Lodge. Ficus forstenii is most common in Sulawesi and the southern Philippines  but is not uncommon in the lowland forests of Eastern Sabah.
