Ficus recurva with a Bornean Pigmy Squirrel Exilisciurus exilis. Note that the squirrel has been eating flakes of the surface bark  of the larger  Ficus recurva vine. There is no doubt that this squirrel prefers the bark of certain trees above others and the plant probably benefits from the relationship in some way. All photos are by Arlene Walshe.
