Ficus scaberrima fruiting at the Ulu Ulu Resort 01

The photo above is an immature male Yellow-rumped Flowerpecker

In December  2017 a Ficus scaberrima fig fruited next to the walkway at the Ulu Ulu Resort for a period of four days before the fruit ran out.

All the photos in this article  were taken on the second day of fruiting by Arlene Walshe.

Immature Cream-vented Bulbul. Adults normally have a red iris.
Finsch’s Bulbul
Male Greater green Leafbird
Grey-bellied Bulbul
Long-tailed Macaque
Yellow-breasted Flowerpecker
Spectacled Bulbul. Over a period of three days  whilst this fig was fruiting  it was possible to photograph  2 species of  mammals, seven species of  bulbul, and three species of flowerpeckers, and a leafbird feeding on the ripe fruit.

The Ulu Ulu Resort is backed by a hillside covered  in virgin forest part of the 50,000 ha Ulu Temburong National Park in Brunei, Borneo.
