Postar Miun one of Borneo’s most expert field botanists holding a fruiting branch of Ficus forstenii collected from the banks of the Sungai Mokodou on the eastern slopes of Kinabalu  by a team from the Sandakan Herbarium.

Sungai Mokodou Kg Nalumad, Ranau Sabah.png
Sungai Mokodou arises on the eastern slopes of Kinabalu Park and eventually joins the Sugut River which reaches the sea off the NE coast of Sabah. To explore the forest in the area head for Kg Nalumad which can be accessed via the Ranau to Kudat road on the eastern side of Kinabalu Park.
