The orange brown  stipule of Ficus brunneoaurata  at Kampung Tonop, Ranau district, Sabah.

Only three fig trees in Section Eriosycea  (small hairy  fig trees)  have a striking  orange red/brown stipule, Ficus brunneoaurata, Ficus endospermifolia and Ficus bruneiensis.

From the presence of what appear to be immature anthers around the ostiole this must be an immature male fig.
