We show above and below a comparison of three similar figs dispersed by fruit bats which ripen green.

See here first: Glossary: Difference between a Stipe and peduncle

Ficus annulata figs have a peduncle and collar with bracts but no stipe.

Ficus callosa figs have both a stipe and a peduncle separated by a collar with bracts

Ficus magnoliifolia figs have a stipe and a collar with bracts but no peduncle.

The white ovals show the collar of bracts which separate the stipe which is part of the fig fruit from the peduncle which is the “stalk” of the fig fruit.

The fig fruits of Ficus magnoliifolia have a stipe and a collar of bracts but no peduncle or stalk.
