This well known strangling fig tree grows right in the centre of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.
This fig is next to the main road between Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan behind a simple memorial to Australian soldiers who died near here during World War 2.
This fig has been identified as Ficus microcarpa
As yet, we do not have photos of the ripe figs.
