Ficus ischnopoda is a locally common rheophytic  fig of hill streams on the Asian continent  with a distribution from Myanmar to South China south the the northern Malay Peninsula. For a distribution map See below.

F. ischnopoda has not been recorded from Borneo yet. The closest relatives are Ficus oleifolia  and Ficus  deltoidea var motleyana which are both common in  Borneo.
