Ficus septica at Ba’Kelaelan in the hills of NW Sarawak  at the base of Gunung Murud, Borneo’s second highest mountain (2,423 m).

Ficus septica has invaded Borneo from the east across Wallace’s  Line and currently is absent from most of Sarawak and West Kalimantan.

This is only the second record from Sarawak. The first record was from Pa Lungan also in NW Sarawak.
